The location of Gooderson Drakensberg Golf and Spa Resort amazed me with stunning views and well-manicured gardens. The variety of activities, like the zipline and swimming pools, kept my family entertained. Our Eagles Nest Superior Family Room was spacious and clean, offering comfortable accommodations. Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short. On our first night, my family faced a serious issue when vegetarian meals incorrectly contained pork, which went unresolved by the management until the next day. Although the staff ultimately apologized, it marred our stay. WiFi access was tedious, requiring a login every 250mb, which felt inconvenient. While the breakfast and buffet dinners were good, I found the dining options rather limited during peak times. Despite these hiccups, the resort has great potential, and the surrounding hiking trails were fantastic.

The activities here are varied, especially for families. the waterpark, swings, and pony rides are a hit, ensuring the little ones have a blast. I also appreciated the scenic hiking trails and warm pool, adding to a diverse outdoor experience.

The rooms are quite outdated, with issues like musty carpets and inconsistent cleanliness. Noise levels from nearby guests can disrupt your peace, and some facilities have seen better days, like broken sports equipment and a distinct lack of proper upkeep in various buildings. The dining options are limited during peak times, which can get frustrating—like when only a few restaurants were open despite the promise of more choices.

Had a great time! The hikes were absolutely gorgeous, and the clean, spacious unit made for a comfy stay. Just a heads up, the restaurant food could use an upgrade as it felt overpriced for what we got.
